CLIENT: Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery
LOCATION: Shady Lane, East Austin, TX
April 2019

After outgrowing its original location off South Congress Avenue, the Infinite Monkey Theorem moved its winery and tasting room to a much larger facility in East Austin. 20 artists were brought on to transform the bare warehouse space into a cozy urban museum. I painted 2 murals on site as part of the project.

I chose the phrase “Let’s Get Weird” to paint on their overhead door for several reasons. It harkens back to the old Austin favorite “Keep Austin Weird” and references what happens when you have one two many glasses of wine. Because the door was located in the center of a massive collaborative art wall, it also encouraged the other artists to get “weird” with their art and let their imaginations run wild.
